Day 1 Keynote Speaker:

Mr Wong has close to 30 years of leadership experience in the energy sector and in investment management. He has been instrumental in leading Sembcorp’s transformation of its portfolio from brown to green.

Mr Wong was the group chief executive officer of Singapore Power (SP Group) from 2012 to 2020. Prior to SP Group, he led investments and project development in his roles at Temasek International and The AES Corporation.

Mr Wong is the chairman of SkillsFuture Singapore and serves on the boards of the National Research Foundation, the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and DSO National Laboratories. He is also a board member of China Venture Capital Fund Corporation and a Vice Chairman of the World Energy Council.

Mr Wong holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

She has served as the CEO of the IKEA global product supply chain at East Asia and the Commercial President of IKEA Retail China, and is one of the first local leaders trained by IKEA in China .She has led and participated in multiple global business strategic changes and organizational capability transformations of IKEA During the global product supply chain transformation and upgrading period, she has deeply led the ESG and green industry capability transformation of IKEA East Asia supply chain enterprises, as well as the international industrial layout of supply chain enterprises. She has participated in and empowered the growth, listing, and global expansion processes of multiple industry chain enterprises.

During the period at IKEA Retail, she has led the transformation and market expansion of omni-channel retail in China, and the future strategy upgrade of the IKEA in the Chinese market.

She once served as a management partner in the development and operation headquarters of Vanke and participated in the construction of a lean product supply chain system in the headquarters of Vanke, and provided expert consultants for sustainable materials technology investment projects of well-known private equity funds in America and Europe.

Dr. Ng Hsiao Piau is the Director of the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) Built Environment Research and Innovation Institute (BERII). In this role, he leads the Advanced Construction & Innovation Planning Department (ACIPD), overseeing S&T planning, technology roadmap development and implementation, as well as the Cities of Tomorrow (CoT) R&D Programme. Additionally, Dr. Ng is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore and Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic. He holds a PhD and Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore, with post-doctoral training at Harvard University. He was a recipient of the A*STAR Graduate Scholarship for his PhD and post-doctoral studies.

Dr Jason's background includes research at ASTAR's Institute of Molecular & Cell Biology and work at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. His diverse experiences make him a respected figure in sustainability. He's now leading sustainability efforts at NP and mentoring startups in UOB's Greentech Accelerator Programme, helping to shape the future of eco-friendly innovation.

PVD Solutions for Heterogeneous Integration

Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) solutions play a crucial role in the field of heterogeneous integration, a process that combines different components with varying functionalities into a single system. PVD methods, such as sputtering and evaporation, are used to deposit thin films of materials onto substrates, enabling the integration of diverse components on a micro or nano scale. These methods offer high precision, uniformity, and repeatability, making them ideal for applications in microelectronics, photonics, and MEMS. Heterogeneous integration through PVD can lead to devices with improved performance, reduced size, and lower power consumption. However, challenges remain in terms of material compatibility, interface quality, and process control.
